It's from before my dark ages, mainly the 8851 Excavator and the 8660
Arctic Rescue, I also got two with the 8843 Fork Lift truck.
They usually look better then they work since they tend to slip a lot,
but in this case it's a good feature since I don't have any fail-safe
clutch on the engines plus the fact that the tank is some-what heavy.
But they can be customized into any lengt and most other LEGO folks
envy them, so I use them any way ,)

| (...) Here's an idea you can try to have them slip a bit less. Do you have the ordinary chain links too? Then ones without the wide tread? If so use an ordinary chain link for every third link, say. Like this: ##=##=##=##= Perhaps this will give (...) (24 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)
