  Re: help with NQC

(...) I am a programmer a so I will try to answer some of your questions. 1) I think the NQC distribution has some examples. D. Baum's book : The Definitive Guide to LEGO Mindstorms" is excellent and has very useful examples. I may have not gotten (...) (25 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: AI, AI & AC

I have a couple of basic AI applications on my website at www.bvandam.net using the Mindstorm, Scout, Cybermaster or PC.   help with NQC

Finally i decided to use NQC, the Lego Programmer was too much limited, and others system to program the RCX where still limited;in the other hand ,however, i do not want to get under the firmware. Ok ,i downloaded the firmware 2.0 ,the NQC+Manual (...) (25 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Vision Command camera questions

(...) On the front page of my Windows 95 manual, it says "USB support". I wonder if I can use Vision Command on my system? Do anybody know just what kind of Logitech camera it is based on? Perhaps one can grab some shareware software from the net to (...) (25 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: .dat files for robots?

Hi Peter, Did you know that building plans for the robots from my book are online? (URL) includes a clever arm designed by Ben Williamson and also exhibits a directional transmission. (Note that Minerva 1.5 includes a slightly different directional (...) (25 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: AI, AI & AC

(...) Nope. This is a Lego *robotics* list, that talks about: Robot hardware = pBrick (RCX/CyberMAster/Sco...)+LEGO+... Robot software = pBrick code+PC/Mac/... code So, if you do, like me, real time image processing/analysis/...rpretation with the (...) (25 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: AI, AI & AC

(...) RCX could have problems with AI algorythm offcourse, but I'm working on such a problem. I use PC to do all computation, and I communicate with RCX through IR port to get data from it and to send orders. I would like to use AI algorythms and (...)   Re: AI, AI & AC

(...) All very wonderful I'm sure - but isn't it just a *tad* off-topic? This has essentially nothing to do with either robotics or Lego. There is nowhere close to enough computing resources in anything people are likely to have in a Lego robot to (...) (25 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  .dat files for robots?

Hi all, I'm coaching this elementary school robotics team, and it would really help these kids (many of whom have never built with LEGO in any significant way before (the disadvantage of LEGO cost and Jrization!)) if they could see some samples of (...)   Re: Vision Command camera questions

Install on Win98 aas follows: 1. Export the registry to a text file 2. Get a complete directory listing of your primary drive (I have an ls, so I would do ls -lR from c:\) 3. Install the VC SW 4. Export the registry to another text file 5. Get a (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Vision Command camera questions

I've had similar thoughts though I don't have a clue as to where to being. I've done some checking with a dependancy checker and I've monkeyed with the .ini files all of course to to avail. If anyone has a direction to point me I'de be much obliged. (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) this is (...) Why do all of these begin with the word Artificial? Don't you mean to say that our mind operates with "intelligence", "intuition" and "consciousness"? What exactly is the difference between Artificial Consciousness and "real" (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Everybody today is talking about Artificial Intelligence. I think this is only one of (at least!!!) three different elements our mind is using: AI: Artificial Intelligence. This is in my opinion just the ability to make logical choices. So any (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Vision Command camera questions

I'm willing to bet that the issue here isn't even technical (as far as the software is concerned). It is probably the installer script which was written to check if the platform is for Win 98 or NT - and when it doesn't find either, it doesn't let (...)   Re: Parts - Lego or not

(...) It's not just you :-) Recently I managed a workaround to this exact situation with a 16 tooth gear by placing 1x2 tiles on the bottom plate. The gear then rests on those tiles. Of course, I fully expect to find concave crescents eroded in (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Motion/Tilt Sensor from Analog Devices and the RCX

Not exactly.... The output is an analog voltage, meaning it's not exactly a digital TTL 0 volts or 5 volts, but ranges from 200mv (call this low) to Vcc-200mv (call this high). But this is a PWM output, meaning that with the chip stationary with (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics)
