Hi all,
I'm coaching this elementary school robotics team, and it would really help
these kids (many of whom have never built with LEGO in any significant
way before (the disadvantage of LEGO cost and Jrization!)) if they
could see some samples of the following:
Different mobile robot chassis techniques
Lift arms/robotic arms
Different ways of using the power from a single motor in more than
one way (i.e. oscillating lift arm and forward drive, etc.)
The RIS constructopedias and the constructopedias that come with the
expansion
sets help, as do sections of Dave Baum's book, but they (and I) are hungry
for
more. I've put together a few models, but I simply don't have the time to
lay out
multiple sub-constructions in MLCad, so I'm hoping the greater community
might
have something to contribute!
Thanks!

| Hi Peter, Did you know that building plans for the robots from my book are online? (URL) includes a clever arm designed by Ben Williamson and also exhibits a directional transmission. (Note that Minerva 1.5 includes a slightly different directional (...) (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)
