(...) RCX could have problems with AI algorythm offcourse, but I'm working on such a problem. I use PC to do all computation, and I communicate with RCX through IR port to get data from it and to send orders. I would like to use AI algorythms and (...) (25 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Install on Win98 aas follows: 1. Export the registry to a text file 2. Get a complete directory listing of your primary drive (I have an ls, so I would do ls -lR from c:\) 3. Install the VC SW 4. Export the registry to another text file 5. Get a (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

I've had similar thoughts though I don't have a clue as to where to being. I've done some checking with a dependancy checker and I've monkeyed with the .ini files all of course to to avail. I'm willing to bet that the issue here isn't even technical (as far as the software is concerned). It is probably the installer script which was written to check if the platform is for Win 98 or NT - and when it doesn't find either, it doesn't let (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) It's not just you :-) Recently I managed a workaround to this exact situation with a 16 tooth gear by placing 1x2 tiles on the bottom plate. The gear then rests on those tiles. Of course, I fully expect to find concave crescents eroded in (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Not exactly.... The output is an analog voltage, meaning it's not exactly a digital TTL 0 volts or 5 volts, but ranges from 200mv (call this low) to Vcc-200mv (call this high). But this is a PWM output, meaning that with the chip stationary with (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics)

From looking at the data sheets, it's going to be a bit more of a project than just "hooking it up". At a minimum you'll need to have a small micro to decode the dual PWM outputs, and they (AD) have a data sheet describing the use of a Parallax (...) (25 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics)
