From looking at the data sheets, it's going to be a bit more of a project
than just "hooking it up".  At a minimum you'll need to have a small micro
to decode the dual PWM outputs, and they (AD) have a data sheet describing
the use of a Parallax Basic Stamp.  There will be a lot of algorithm
development to turn the acceleration data into something useful, like say
inertial navigation, and you'd eventually need a gyro to deal with rotation
in the x-y plane.  It would be an interesting project.

My two Cents,

Jeff

Hi,

I just order two free samples of Analog Devices ADXL202E at
http://products.analog.com/products/info.asp?product=ADXL202.  Anyone
know if this can be hooked up to the RCX?

Ram

Sorry for my ignorance, but doesnt the datasheets mention that it contains both analog and digital outputs and either may be used. Ram (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics)
