Pat,
Due to the answers to your request I believe you will get help from lots of
people here. I am not an expert in RIS, but I will try to help you somehow.
I know it is not a easy task, specially for you. Fortunatelly the main
requirement for RIS is imagination and perserverancel.
The first step is to separate and categorize your bricks. Those organize
boxes with compartments and small drawers are good for that. I did that
myself. There's a list of all pieces in the set somewhere in the internet. I
will look for it and e-mail it to you.
The second step will be to know the main pieces and understand their
functions. Dave Baum book mention a lot of them. I will use it as a
reference, ok? I will make a list with description of useful pieces and
e-mail it to you. It may take a while since I'll travel next week.
The hard task will be building instructions. Once you understand the basics,
it will easier, but that would be a good idea if you have someone that can
see helping you in the begining.
I will keep in touch.
Good luck,
Mauro Vianna

| Hello to everyone on the list; I am a new user of the Ris 1.5 system. I was hoping this list might help me- a totally Blind user of the kit with building instructions for the basic robots. The materials in the kit demonstrate the building of the (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics)
