As a beginner also, I have a quick question. Where is a good source for kits and
spare parts. I have looked at EBay, but question the quality. Plus would like a
reference as to what this kits sell for new so I don't overbid for used kits

On sets out of production, I have beeen able to get MISB sets on EBay for less (...) (25 years ago, 6-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics)

| (...) I agree with John Matthews. Get a Mindstorms set first, then dump RIS and download NQC. I would also recommend Dave Baum's book Definitive Guide to Lego Mindstorms. Yes, even though the RCX in the 9719 Mindstorms set has an external power (...) (25 years ago, 4-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics)
