You might also look at (URL) I have not tried this toolset it appears to basically allow for a communication channel between MATLAB and the NXT. But it does not appear to "compile" MATLAB code into NXT Bytes or NXT code. Ed (19 years ago, 11-Feb-07, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I bought a Znap set on eBay (my first!) and it also has an older 71427 motor that doesn't turn well. It works when powered but I don't think it's very happy. I have released today a new official BricxCC release (3.3.7.16) which includes NBC/NXC 1.0.1 b25. BricxCC has updated syntax highlighting for NXC and NBC. It also has a number of minor fixes. (...) Not being an expert by far myself, I have made several demonstrations locally in my area. I built what the instructions lead you though that come with the set. (...) In five days, you need something really simple that you understand. Something like Tribot, but make it clear that you know what it's doing.
