<SNIP> (...) What I meant with the thread was to use the studs as channels for the thread and tie them perpendicular to the shape of the conveyor piece, one thread on each side.   Vision Command on XP and 2000 instructions... pending update

Hello everyone, I'm working on updating the instruction pages for Vision Command installation on XP and 2K. What I would like to include is a small FAQ and list any issues people may have encountered. A couple weeks ago, I did a fresh install of 2K (...) (23 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX Tank Base

I used three sets of treaded chain links and 1x10 plates to make the tracks for a couple models. None of the plates ever came completely loose, but some of them would come loose from one of the three treads. Virtually all of the treaded chain links (...)   Re: LNPD problem

At times I have experienced some issues wth using lnp; I was generally able to improve or elliminate the problem by increasing the packet_handler task priority... or lowering all other tasks to be less than the packet handler.   Re: RCX Tank Base

I'm enough of a purist that I wouldn't ust non-lego treads, atleast I wouldn't go searching / buying a set. I am considering using a low temp glue gun to hold the 1x4 plates on. I did use a thin elastic cording on the inside of the conveyor links to (...) (23 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX Tank Base

I never thought of using a low-temp glue gun. It does peal off nicely on smooth flat surfaces. I'll have to test it out! Could get messy on the back side of the plates and in the treads. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

brickOS and latest binutils (1 issue now fixed in binutils CVS, and workaround patch to brickOS for the other)

The "invalid symbolsrec file" issue (error from makelx) issue is now fixed in binutils CVS, both on the trunk, and on the 2.13 branch - so the next release of binutils, be it 2.13.2 or 2.14 will have this fixed. The "ld segmentation fault" issue is (...) (23 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: LNPD problem

Hi Pieter, I'll take a shot at it... It's possible you may be experiencing a transmission problem on the RCX side. That's not to say that your RCX can't transmit IR data correctly... obviously it can since you are able to download BrickOS and that (...) (23 years ago, 4-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

<SNIP> (...) I realized a few minutes after making my post that there is LEGO string. It is of suitable size. And, based on creations I've seen from the AFOLs, it's definitely strong enough. - Rob (23 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Using TIS and USB Tower on a Macintosh
