  Some UI questions about Robolab

Hi All, I have a couple of quick questions. 1. The help in Robolab says I can select a program from the programs list and press F10 to delete it. Every time I do this I get a message saying that the folder is locked. I've tried everything I can (...) (23 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  New version of Robot Controller

Version 1.6b2 of Robot Controller is available, either from Version Tracker, or from my new web page: (URL) it out, and tell me what you think! In case you don't know, Robot Controller is a MacOS X application for controlling and testing RCX robots (...) (23 years ago, 30-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  HB Sun tracking system

I am just about finished assembling with HB. I want to build a system to track the sun. I have some ideas on how, but I am little rusty both in hardware and software. I asking any of you have something to help me in my project. I really appreciated. (...) (23 years ago, 30-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RC Motors

A couple people have pointed out how the new motors on the RC Buggy seem to be very fast. So with the Workshop 3D challenge coming up, I wanted to see how they compare to the Mindstorms mini-motors. To test them, I started by hooking a rotation (...) (23 years ago, 30-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Instructions for building DJGPP H8300 cross compiler

Ed, This is GREAT to see. Will this work with the latest version of BrickOS?   Re: Use built-in Ir instead of IR-Tower?

(...) The IR protocol is slightly different. While IRDA only sends short pulses the Lego Tower sends a signal for the whole time slot. It is very unlikely that one can get them work together. Jochen (23 years ago, 30-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Spybot to rcx and rcx to spybot

Hello I am just starting with my first Spybot and want to know how can I use a Spybot to controll an rcx and even better how can I control an spybot with the rcx. I know this has been discussed al lot here but its nearly impossible to filter all (...) (23 years ago, 30-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

How to find maximum available memory for datalog, power consumption and sensor wire length?

Hi there, I'm preparing to write a log program to store temperature values in the datalog. After some experimenting and familiarizing with the datalog associated functions I've found the following: Using CreateDatalog(x) with x being a constant and (...)   Re: 2 rcx's

What about hooking a sensor port to a sensor port on another RCX? The sensor ports do output power for active sensors, so I imagine this could be detected by the other RCX. I'm just wondering if this would let you set up bi-directional (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: 2 rcx's

Scott: (...) Yes it has been done. I used this set up to communicate between 2 RCX in a contest where I new many people would use IR and the room would be flooded with the stuff. The original message is here: (...) What I did was just put a lego (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Use built-in Ir instead of IR-Tower?

Hi! i have a sub-notebook without any com-ports so i can't use my IR-Tower. But the built in IR is reachable over com5 (btw: i'm working with cygwin). so i changed dll to com5 (export...) but now i get the error(when dll'ing): Error 21: sending (...)   Angle sensor

I have a couple of prototype angle sensors looking for a good home.   FLL Artic Impact Challenge Set

  Re: Need to compare

(...) Oh - that's a pain. (...) Well, I guess it depends on how rough the terrain in general is. If it's a flat, smooth surface with just one 5cm hole - then practically any vehicle with (say) 6 wheels will drive across it like it wasn't there. (...) (23 years ago, 28-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  2 rcx's

What would happen if you took a wire from a sensor port on one rcx and connected it to a motor output on another rcx.
