I have installed the USB IR Tower driver following LEGO instructions on Windows XP. But every time, Windows XP will hang when any software trys to communicate with the IR tower through the USB port The software that make my Windows XP crashes (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello Steve, (...) I don't see a problem in the inclusion of a legOS.srec. But I don't know what happens if you compile your user programs with some other compiler then that building the legOS.srec. (...) Yes and Yes *1 Do it all the time. The 9v transformer that comes with LEGO 9V Trains is perfect for plugging into the RCX. I also have had an RCX plugged in for about a year and a half with batteries inside to boot (*not* officially (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Derek, I think the sensor you need really depends on the application. I believe a compass would be better for absolute positioning, and a gyro would be better for relative positioning. I don't really know a lot about gyro's, but I think that will (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)
