Anyone coming to BrickFest and got some spare time?

I am looking for someone who is coming to BrickFest and who has a few hours to spare to build a MOC incorporating a brand new sensor. They will of course become the owner of said new sensor! If you are interested (silly question) or have the time (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New Mindstorms Book

Sounds like an excellent book. I'll be looking forward to the release. I'm teaching several Robotics courses for educators and the content of this book sounds very helpful. Tonya (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.edu)

  Re: USB tower

(...) Ghost is included with the 2.0 SDK - (URL) USB support is different on every platform. For platforms that Lego supported, I needed to work through their drivers - otherwise people would have to install one set of drivers for NQC, and another (...)   Re: Rover Programming

(...) How are you doing navigation? I've been wanting to do the but every pure Lego-based approach has proved hopelessly inaccurate. Dunno about programming in VB though - sorry. ---...--- Steve Baker ---...--- Mail : <sjbaker1@airmail.net> (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Even better, RIS 1.5, $99.99

(...) Probably regulatory. Lego want to market this in many countries - and probably don't want to redesign and re-certify it in every market. The 27MHz band is widely used for toys - but you get a lot of radio interference from toys, CB radio's and (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Rover Programming

I have built a nice rover with two front sensors that just goes around hitting objects and making so its not kicked.   Re: Notebook

  Re: Notebook

Jonathon, Here are my "short" answers: 1) Reload your laptop fresh with Windows 98 to solve USB (and other) issues. 2) It is apparently possible to use the IrDA port to control 38~40KHz IR devices (RCX, Scout, TV, VCR, DVD). 3) The darkness issue (...)
