  firmware & NQC - free?

Is there a firmware version available that I can get for free that will work with NQC on any platform (Mac, Win, Linux)? Thanks Jenny (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Hi Hans, I think 2.4.9 is too old, but you may try to just remove the MODULE_LICENSE stuff. Jürgen (...) (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

(...) you need to fill out the news posting setup at (URL) it's for the newsgroups, but that's what the LUGNET discussions server is - a web (and mail) interface to a news server. HTH! :) Dan (I'd FUT to .admin.nntp, but you can't post there yet) (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

For what is worth, My original intention was indeed to thank Mario for the complimentary copy of his book by creating a new robot inspired by it. hi!   Re: RFC: Creation of Version 0.2.6

(...) Excuse my ranting, but... Bricx-anything doesn't appeal to me (1); I'm not fond of the "cx" pronounced at the end. Why not "Brick" or "Brix" instead? BrixCC and BrixOS work, as do BrickCC and BrickOS. Ian (1) I dunno why; but it's a (...) (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Introducing Jump-O-Bot

(...) Then that author is incorrect. There were Lego based jumping robots at several of the Robofests put on here in Austin back in the early half of the 90's. At least one of them was built along the lines of 'Spring Turkey'. They used the old (...) (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: power source

You're right, I didn't realise it wasn't very clear. What you do is you connect the positive wire from your power supply to pin 1* of the 7809. Then connect the ground of the RCX and the power supply to pin 2. Connect pin 3 to the positive battery (...) (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

I'm sorry, I can't really make out that photo. Do I just connect the 7809 ic between the power supply and the rcx? Do I connect to the + or - or use 2 and connect to both? thanks -----Original Message----- From: news-gateway@lugnet.com (...) (23 years ago, 12-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)
