I ve got the very first and only tcp/ip enabled RCX in my room, cool, eh ? I will make a webpage at the end of the week to make the very first (rudimentary, but working) version available to the public. Right now, the tcp/ip stack is compiled into (...) This code was working last night, but I removed some superfluous functions copied with the set (such as moveBackward() and pivotRight()) since they were not being used. I think I found the key to my previous success at getting VCS to run on W2K/XP. This is the good news - The bad news is you need to get a copy of RIS 2.0 and run the VCS update utility on the RIS CD. When I try to install Vision Command under windows 2000 I get an errormessage that windows 2000/NT is not supported. (...) The only way to get these sort of errors is to turn on NQC 1.x compatibility mode. If you check the BricxCC Preferences dialog I am sure you will find that this option has been turned on (for some unknown reason). If that is (by some odd (...) Well, it looks like reparing this charger/interface board is beyond me. I have now replaced all the capacitors, both 'lytic and not, and the MAX 232. I received this worm from this list today, and it got past six different virusscanners. It's pretty new, in other words. I haven't yet found out what it does besides deleting itself and starting to send mails. Don't try and run the .com file (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Greetings, From the specs ((URL) the unit you have (LVS) supports a RS232C level connection. Since the HandyBoard uses TTL level signals, you would need an RS232C to TTL interface. Be sure you get the proper Max232 chip. I bought another, because I was having serial port problems, and thought it might be the Max232 chip... But the new one I bought wasnt *quite* right.
