My book was released less than a week ago. Copies are probably just getting to physical bookstores as we speak. I just got a stack (direct from O'Reilly) today. I think Ben's right: buy 'em both. I'd love to get a hold of some small RCX controllable valves also. I just finnished building a six legged pneumatic walker that would benefit from these for different walking motions. Presently, it just walks forward with the tripod gate type (...) (26 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

I have one of each, but the RCX is far more interesting. I think the RDS would be fun for younger kids (it says 9+ on the box), but once you got the hang of it, you would quickly want the programming power of the RCX. My scout is still configured in (...)
