  Re: UCS X-Wing Review

(...) Interesting how we disagree here... this is the one and only major beef I have with this set... The Starwars sets are the only series that LEGO has produced with well-done and fairly theme-generic detailing, and the stickers in this set are no (...)   Re: UCS X-Wing Review

(...) I agree. I'm looking forward to TRU stocking up on these when they see how fast they are moving then getting stuck with a bunch after the first big rush is over then marking them way down then me buying them at like 75% off. I am also waiting (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: UCS X-Wing Review

(...) There were a bunch of parts that I loved... (unique? I don't know, perhaps, but more likely just odd pieces I'd never seen before or colors I hadn't seen before)... The dk. grey engine pieces (at the end) were completely new to me, as was the (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: UCS X-Wing Review

Total snippage of original post... While I love the photos of the UCS X-wing that have been posted on-line, and in the catalog, I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed when I saw the box at TRU in Dallas. The larger photo shows more detail, (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Green Ninjas! and the Red Warlord!

(...) Got the warlord today....woohoo! (ok 6 or six of them) I'll focus on the fig for the sake of brevity... HEAD....same as the Black ninjas. I have 100+ of these but they do deserve to see the light of day. This head adds a little variety to my (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.reviews)

Re: Review of Dan Siskind's Mk1 Light Tank kit

(...) Dan's models are indeed excellent. The guild, though, is the Guild of Bricksmiths(tm), and you can find the guild page at www.bricksmiths.com - Dan is not the only member with kits available. Kevin (24 years ago, 6-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Review of 6444 Outback Airstrip

After arriving at Zellers for the 30% off discontinueds sale, I immediately got this one. Fearing a complete takeover by Town Jr., I decided it was time to buy the enjoyable town sets intended for people over eight. I paid about $17.50, $20 after (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Review of Res-Q 6445 Emergency Evac

After my shopping at Zellers, I headed over to a store called Best Value (soon to e renamed Zellers Select). Before the Dark Ages it was a KMart where I often bought Lego, but I was not sure if it would still have any as a Zellers clearance house. (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Review of UFO 6915 Warp Wing-Fighter

Knowing that discontinued toys were 30% off, I went to Zellers today to get some of the older LEGOs for my collection. I definately did not plan on getting the 6915 though, I didn't kow it would be there. But for some reason, I had a craving for a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Review: 5936 Spider's Secret

(...) Yeah, it's a pretty good model, but compared to the rest of the series, they could have done way better. (...) If you really want me to, I'd be glad to scan it and send you the images. Greg "Hall o' Monkeys" Majewski (URL) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Review: 5936 Spider's Secret

This was my first set after a "dark age" of over a year. I like it. I got many parts I hadn't seen before, like a snake, two spiders, video camera, spider web, sun disc, both vegetation pieces- lots of good stuff. I don't really hate the car, or the (...)   Review: 5936 Spider's Secret

General Stuff: #5936 Spider's Secret Pieces: 126 Minifigs: 2 + 1 skeleton Cost: $12.99 MSRP, snagged by me for $10.39 at Kohl's Hmm... My first set in seven months, I have mixed feelings about this one. I'll start off with my overall impressions. (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Review of 5921 Research Glider for the Lost World

I discovered this set in Toys R Us last month and was pleased to see the new themes had again began ot appear before the official release date. I paid $9 CAN for it (around $6.20 USA). There is a lot of things I like about this set. First, you build (...) (24 years ago, 4-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Review of Dan Siskind's Mk1 Light Tank kit

I purchased and built one of Dan Siskind's Mk1 Light Tank kits and decided to post a review of my experience for the benefit of others who might be interested in purchasing one of them. As a preamble, I am very pleased that there are folks in the (...) (24 years ago, 4-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

My review of the 4561 Railway Express

#4561 Railway Express Ages 8-12 645 Pcs USA: $139.00 I got this set as my big gift for Christmas 1999. I originally planned on getting the more sophisticated freight train, but when I learned of this mid-year release, I decided that it was the (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: My review of the 6564 Recycle Truck

(...) Cool. Don't you wish you still had it now? I had a lot of early-mid 90s stuff (no 80s though), but I dismantled my entire collection in early 1998 and had to start from scratch again in late 1999 when I got interested in Lego again! I don't (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: My review of the 6564 Recycle Truck

(...) Do you have to tempt me with pictures of really old sets that I will never own? Yes, Lego really has gone downhill in the past 13 years! I like the use of a Space seat to pick up garbage. (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)
