Re: New Harry Potter Castle Review - 4757

(...) Hey Brad, thanks for the review. I'm looking forward to getting this set. Do you have the origninal Hogwarts? I'm wondering how they look if you put them together. (...) That sounds good. My main concern with the new grays is the difficulty of (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Re: New Harry Potter Castle Review - 4757

My impression is that the 2004 sets have improved architecture: between Harry Potter and Spider-man there are much better looking, less juniorized buildings this year. At least, there is more ornament. There's the laid-on plate roof of the castle, (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle, lugnet.year.2004)

Re: New Harry Potter Castle Review - 4757

(...) STOP IT! You are making me want this set even more and the fact that I have run out of lego money (money set aside just for buying lego) for now is making me sad :-( (21 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

New Harry Potter Castle Review - 4757

Item#: 4757 Hogwart's Castle Ages: 8+ Pieces: 927 I picked up 2 copies of the newest HP castle set a few days ago and I'm quite impressed by it. MAIN MODEL The main model is a rather large 3-wing castle with an extra tower building, and gate. The (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle) !

  Re: new Designer sets

(...) Ah... ok. Gotcha. I guess I thought of them as exotic slopes or something... didn't really think of them as decoractive. But I do agree with you. It would have been nice if perhaps those four had been replaced by some combination of more (...) (21 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: new Designer sets

(...) I'm thinking of the big curved pieces that have been appearing in the sets lately. For example the four beside the rotor mount on 4403, or the big long piece down the top of the tail. (21 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: new Designer sets

(...) New, as in the 2004 additions? Or the sets from 2003? Either way my answer is the same... I think they are the best thing to come along in years! (...) Either that, or they came to this course on their own accord. I think these sets reflect a (...) (21 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: new Designer sets

(...) I, for one, think that 4404 is one of the best sets LEGO has produced in the last couple years. I bought this set last summer while I was in Arlington attending BrickFest 2003. I thought it was so cool that when I got back to my hotel after (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.reviews)

  new Designer sets

What do people think of the new Designer sets? I think Lego has definitely been listening to what we've asked for. I've got the 4402 Motion Madness (blue speedboat show), 4403 Air Blazers (red helicopter shown) and 4404 Land Busters (yellow pickup (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: Review of set 4492 Mini Star Destroyer

(...) snip (...) I agree - wot da heck IS that binocular doing there? OFF with the binocular! (Maybe they are special scanners for finding Rebel Blockade Runners...) Found one at Walmart today (woo hoo!), had to get it. Besides not using the (...) (21 years ago, 24-Dec-03, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Mini Review: 3535 Skateboard Street Park

3535 Skateboard Street Park A lean set. The majority of parts build a solid picnic table plus ramps: dark gray bricks, 14 light gray 1x8 tiles, some plates, 6 small gray arches, 2 tan baseplates, and 6 red and white 1x1 rounds. Akin but not (...) (21 years ago, 4-Dec-03, to lugnet.reviews)

Review of set 4492 Mini Star Destroyer

Set: 4492 Mini Star Destroyer Price: $6.99 US Piece count: 86 Age: 7+ Model: The main model is about a perfect as one could hope for in this scale. The only complaint I have is a binocular (NOT Bionicle) piece on the top front of the model. Take (...) (21 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Why hide light under a bushel basket. Crossposted to reviews. (and a well done review it is!) (...) This review needs to be posted to reviews. This text is to defeat the "too much quoted text" check.   Re: Review: 4501 Mos Eisley Cantina

(...) Upon closer examination, it looks like Greedo's legs and arms are turquiose. (...) The stormptooper also has new colors printed on his helmet. The old troopers had all black printing. The new one has blue lines along the "jaw" part of the (...) (21 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.reviews)

  Thorough set review: 4408 Animals

For a basic set, this one has odd amounts of pieces such as 1 orange 1x1 brick, but the amounts are chosen to build the main Zoo model. Acccents include 2 1x2 lime bricks and 1 2x4 plate in the green tree (new brown trunk) which the orange black and (...)   Brown Shovel

(...) Well, I don't know if this is relevant information for Australia - but here in Copenhagen in a temporary toy store (a Lego discaount store available for 3 months only) in their big boxes with pick-a-brick, there were loads of brown shovels - (...)   Review: 4501 Mos Eisley Cantina

I just bought the new 2004 Mos Eisley Cantina today at a Toy R Us. I must say that it seems a little pricey at $30 when it only has 193 pieces, but it's a cool new Star Wars set, so I just had to buy it. First off I should say that this set DOES (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-03, to lugnet.reviews)
