My impression is that the 2004 sets have improved architecture: between Harry
Potter and Spider-man there are much better looking, less juniorized buildings
this year. At least, there is more ornament.
There's the laid-on plate roof of the castle, and in Doc Ock's hideout (4856).
(Bye paper roof!) I love the pole up one corner of the Hogwart's Express station
(10132). And the Sirius Black tower (4753) is a whole new shape for a Lego set.
(There are still boring post-and-platform designs elsewhere in the lineup.)
