As it was a post/thread about HOW-To get the effect not his/her final I

However in general I would agree.

Hi Dave, • Hi Dude.

I agree with both of you -- generally speaking, I wouldn't be too
keen on someone taking one of my photos and making changes, and I
would be especially bothered if they weren't properly attributed.
But in this case it was in a learning context in response to my
message, and I really appreciate the PhotoShop tips.

Glad you understood the Context thing, altho I should have let you
post the link even if I was willing to illustrate & host my reply
with a jpg. I am having fun photo'ing my sets and am glad to pass on
any good ideas I have noticed. Hopefully get some new ideas too.

I'm not a power PhotoShop user -- in fact, those photos were my first
attempt at any kind of cloud rendering (I mostly scan plant slides
and make subtle tweaks).  I do tend to like the darker, stormier
  scenes, though.

Bryce is a must have for this kind of stuff. I just took 3 color point
samples from your "weather" and made a cloud plane for you in seconds.
I have been avoiding doing long shots like 'Kingrear' cuz the sky rarely
fits in as nicely as it does in your shot. I have resorted to standard
gray or blue large plate backdrops and putting stuff in the way of 'Sky'.

As I said I like the look, keep at it.

PS: I put that sky Background for up you and anyone else following the thread.
