Lego disclaimers on sites —Shiri Dori
(FUT .publish) OK, one last thing for the day. I was wondering about disclaimers on lego sites. I know it's pretty cutomary to put up disclaimers on fan-made sites, and part of the lego fair-play policy (IIRC). But how many people were actually (...)      (...) Hi Shiri, I'll try to, in a limited way, explain to you the evolution of the disclaimer. Just as I started to join the internet community, and RTL/AFOL in general, some four years (has it been almost 4 years now?) ago, a great howl was heard (...)      That concentration camp is the STRANGEST model I've ever seen. Actually, I have to say that the photography and box layout is very well done, but its a very politically loaded subject. I can see how people in Poland would have been particularly (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.publish)

(...) Why? He is trying to show the _horror_ of it. I have not been to Auschwitz, but I _will_ go the next time I am in Europe. These sets were ment to be stark reminders of what we can and have done to each other. I have friends who won't speak to (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.publish)

Man, you certainly have a strong oppinion. I was whimping out with a concervative approach on this topic. I didn't want to offend anyone. I'm surprised you didn't get a whole slew of replies (like the on-going mormon debate on the off-topic group)! (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Lego disclaimers on sites —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) I never have been' in fact, when I re-vamped my site, I forgot to even put in a disclaimer. I just now noticed it. But I think I'll leave it as-is unless TLC complains; the title "Jeremy's Lego Page" is, IMO, pretty indicative that it's my (...) (25 years ago, 6-Mar-00, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Lego disclaimers on sites —Christopher Masi
I put a disclaimer up because everyone else does, and while I do not think that anyone would confuse my site with the official LEGO site I figured it was the least I could do to make it absolutely clear that I was not trying to represent the LEGO (...)          Re: Lego disclaimers on sites —Jeremy Spin
In my opinion I think that the LEGO Group or other industries should not mind. I see that they don't want their things reproduced & I have made a rule for myself that I will "NOT" show pictures of other creations on my page (ect LEGO or another fans (...)
