Re: 4+ Pirate Sets in North America!

Ahoy! (...) My goodness! That. Is. Cheap. Captain Redbeard's Pirate Ship is $USD 39.99 while it is EUR 79.99 here! I don't dare to ask the currency converter how many $$ EUR80 are.... (OK, I did, and it would be about $100.) For EUR39.99 even I (...) (20 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: 4+ Pirate Sets in North America!

(...) !Hey Aaron, Are these gonna be at local retail too! I'd just rather pick them up at Wal Mart or TrUs... Thanks for posting this, --==Richard==-- (20 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

4+ Pirate Sets in North America!

WELL SHIVER ME TIMBERS! I don't know if anyone has noticed this yet, but the 4+ Pirate sets are now available in Canada (where I live), and the USA! And just look at the prices: (URL) The prices are SO cheap! Especially the large ship! (Okay, it's (...) (20 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: Large vessel sighted....

(...) Wow! A Galleon! What a beautiful ship (especially the two decks of guns and the ornate sterncastle). That looks like a complete diorama the builder has there - complete with sculptured sea and island, and sea-creatures! I wish there was more (...) (20 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: My New Silver Cannons.

(...) (5 URLs) (...) These are really nice cannons, Daniel. The all-silver look is really sharp. They would make nice large(32-pounders, say) cannons for the main deck of a ship, with the smaller Lego cannons the deck above (if you build a ship of (...)   RE: Large vessel sighted....

My goodness...it's HUGE! And it's Imperial Soldiers, too! How very excellent. It looks awfully slow, though. It could use some larger, custom-made sails. It's a shame there isn't more pictures of it. (...) (20 years ago, 23-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Large vessel sighted....

Ahoy. Peculiar goings on here: (URL) 'specially this: (URL) Nelson (20 years ago, 23-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: My New Silver Cannons.

(...) No problem, Tommyboy. I really like all of the creations on your site. You and Richie probably make some of my favorite Pirate MOC's on the whole internet. I would also love for LEGO to make some black and dark grey bucket pieces, although now (...) (20 years ago, 22-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: My New Silver Cannons.

(...) I made the basic base for the cannon now. It's not very realistic at all, but good for playability. There is support for the front of the cannon too. It's very hard to explain how they will be on the ship without pictures, so I guess you'll (...) (20 years ago, 22-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: My New Silver Cannons.

(...) Absolutely! (...) I would have said that the base is too far toward the breech... there's a lot of weight in front... but if it has a purpose, then it's cool. I'm looking forward to seeing these two in the context of a ship. (...) That's a (...) (20 years ago, 22-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: My New Silver Cannons.

The big bore, the solid clunky wheels, the "ribbed" look caused by the multiple parts, and heavy support all combine to make these look more like medieval cannon than Pirates appropriate, but I do like them, nevertheless. -->Bruce<-- (20 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: My New Silver Cannons.

(...) Hey Daniel, I'm so glad you liked my cannon idea and used it in creating your own! Thanks for mentioning me and linking my website. I like your all silver cannon. I'm looking forward to seeing them in your ship. Those parts are really tough to (...) (20 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: My New Silver Cannons.

Aye, there be the prettiest pair of 16-pounders on the seven seas! (20 years ago, 17-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: My New Silver Cannons.

(...) Very nice! I love the shape of these! These will make a great addition to any ship or fortification. -Elroy (20 years ago, 17-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  My New Silver Cannons.

I have finally finished my silver cannons for a ship I am planning to make in the future. It was not my idea, I was inspired by Tom Reed's creation "Booming Betty": (URL) as soon as I saw his cannon, I wanted to make one too. I searched for months (...)   Vignette - Admiral's Quarters

The Admiral has been locked inside his swanky cabin so long, I think the poor old fellow is going a little crazy. But, at least he's got a nice room to go nuts in. (Heck, insanity is a great way to pass the time!) ;-) (URL) -Mike "Count Blockula" (...)   Re: Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

(...) I hope that happens with all of the +4 pirate sets... I want them all cheap. (...) I like that you acknowledge the fact that they are made for 4 year olds. A lot of people seem to forget that and start complaining at the "bad quality" of the (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.year.2004)

Re: Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

(...) I personally can't wait for it to be in stores here. If it's $40 I'll probably buy a few. I can't wait to see what I can do to it. (...) I was planning to do the same thing. I like the hats, but not the figures. I like how the figures have a (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

(...) Unfortunately I don't have my camera right now, so I can't post pictures. The hull pieces are attached to each other by a SPECIAL connection; each hull has a male connector-plate in one side, and a similar female hole in the other side - so (...)   Re: Set 7075 JacStone Pirate Ship

(...) Thanks for posting the review. I've been wanting to find out more about this vessel, but unwilling to part with hard earned cash (so far) for it. (...) I'm interesting in taking the dremel equivalent to the figs and salvaging the headgear for (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)
