Im interesting in taking the dremel equivalent to the figs and salvaging the
headgear for minifigs...

I was planning to do the same thing. I like the hats, but not the figures.
I like how the figures have a lot of detail (the LEGO gun and knives painted on
the torso, the figure with a chain for a belt), but still look pretty cartoony
and they are all really unique yet not really stupid looking, but I just dont
like their size and shape and dont think theyd look good with my other pirates
at all.
