It would be good to get some pics of the hull pieces in various configurations (or even just the standard one). How are they joined - JS style technic pegs or 4x2 bricks (or something else)?

Unfortunately I don’t have my camera right now, so I can’t post pictures. The hull pieces are attached to each other by a SPECIAL connection; each hull has a male connector-plate in one side, and a similar female hole in the other side - so they are not exactly compatible with anything else....

Do you mean by one purpose as railings for this ship only, or as railings only?

I’ll try to describe: what looks like two black 2x2 slopes on top of each other plus a 1x2 brick, a railing, and then a second set of slopes, is one big brick (2x3 + (railing) + 2x3, 2 bricks high). Maybe they could be used as railings on another ship - my imagination just fails me here)

   ugly “cannon”.

Is there more than one cannon? I think not...

Only one cannon, but it is the CyberSlam/Knights Kingdom cannon - which might fire the rubber-ended thingies, but looks nothing like a real cannon.
