Hello to all pirate fans,

I am not a senior Lego collector and missed the good old days where the
pirate sets are available. Therefore I can only buy them in ebay.
Same here.  I am not senior, nor particularly wealthy.  I have to make do
with a couple of the re-released Armada Flagships and That Islander One (tm).

It seems most of the pirate fans like the 6285. But personally I like the
6286 more as it's a more giant fleet and probably I like the sail with a
skull more than a simple white/red sail. What do you think?
To me, as a builder (keeping in mind I don't own either of them), they're
worth about the same.  And, as I have previously commented, I would have
prefered Eldorado Fortress to any of them.  This is not to take away from
their cool design and good-lookiness, it's just I can already get large
pirate ship pieces from Lego but I can't get Imperials or base pieces.

But that's just my builder side speaking, of course.  If the 6285 does end
up being re-released I'll probably pick one up.  But I have a sneaky
suspicion that it will be Black Falcon Fortress.  It edged out in the
Brickshelf poll, and I imagine it will also win on the dreaded 'kiddies' vote.

Which isn't too bad.  Grey wall pieces are good, even for a pirate :)
