  Home built pirate weaponry

Sometimes, the LEGO cannon just aren't enough... I've uploaded some pics of my home built heavy weapons: (URL) about the exposure on the second one...) I'm particularly fond of the corronade (the big one), and the chrome barrelled cannon. The (...) (22 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: French Squadron pics

(...) Ahhh.... from a simple chart I saw at a small maritime museum last week (no reference on it, and no possibility of a copy, unfortunately), a sloop is one masted fore-and-aft rigged with two sails, a cutter is one masted fore-and-aft rigged (...) (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Pirate Wars/BrikWars at Gaming Cons

  Pirate Wars/BrikWars at Gaming Cons

Salutations, I just finished attending Egygtian Campaign Gaming Convention in Carbondale, IL this past weekend. I gamemastered twenty plus hours of pirate wars and my fellow pirates and I had a blast. I also tried my hand at BrikWars with mixed (...)   Re: legend choices

(...) That's the thing, I s'pose. There are those who want legends so they can stick it in an alcove, build a shrine and surround it with burning incense sticks, and then there are those of us who just consider them as glorified parts-packs. Since I (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: legend choices

(...) I'm with you on the not complaining thingie. Actually, any brown hull is a good one for me. But like Michael, I'm in favour of bases. I reckon I'd be out there happily lapping up 6074s too, however for me, the Yellow Castle would be best. I (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: legend choices

(...) The Barracuda is my favorite pirate ship, but I'd have to say I'd prefer the Skull's Eye Schooner if only for practical reasons: The BSB was in production a long time and there are a lot of them floating about. It can be found for a reasonable (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Choosing the next lego legend set

(...) Sorry, pirate fans everywhere, I have betrayed you. Much as I revere the BSB, I think the pirate line needs an Imperial base set, like Eldorado fortress, and a large pirate legend now would probably ruin the chances of that for a while. So I (...)   Re: legend choices

(...) I'm with you on this one! The 'Skull' is far more sinister IMO, and therefore a much cooler/realistic ship... (URL) I'll still buy a 6285...but it'll need some color alterations. (The yellow just looks sooo silly!) -Captain Ron (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  legend choices

I would prefer to see the Lego Company come out with the 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner. I have 3 of the 6285 Black Seas Baracudas, but I was not able to get the Schooner. Also, I would also like to see a re-release of the 6271 Imperial Flagship as I (...) (22 years ago, 13-Apr-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Choosing the next lego legend set

in case you haven't seen it, Lego are inviting people to vote for the next lego legend set. The address is (URL) of the options is the 6285 Black Sea Barracuda - need I say more? (22 years ago, 13-Apr-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: STUDFEST! the report.

Some pics from last weekend's STUDFest: (URL) pics of my French Squdaron, Richard Parson's Port Block ships, Pete White's House with No Doors, and a shot of the HMLS Snottler II (a guided missile frigate) bearing down on the Bomb Ketch.   Rebel Alliance Seafighters

Okay, first of all let me say this is really, really stupid... :) Right, got over that bit. As some of you may recall, a couple months ago I built the 'Millennium Parrot', which got the characters and storyline of everyone's favourite Space Opera (...)
