For example, this is the model as seen in MLCAD. (Notice the forklift has defined lines between the rails and the forklift platform.)


And this is the same model after being run through POV-Ray 3.6 (Notice there is no visible seam between the rails and the platform piece.)

Hi David,

The problem is a shortcoming in L3P. The way L3P adds seam “lines” is to shrink the pieces by a small amount. How L3P determines what to shrink (since it wouldn’t be appropriate to shrink any subpart assemblies) may introduce the error you’ve witnessed above.
