Any idea why the some pieces don’t show seams in POV-Ray but they do in MLCad?
Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere. I did search for it, but I didn’t
find anything. (Newbie to all this.)
For example, this is the model as seen in MLCAD. (Notice the forklift has
defined lines between the rails and the forklift platform.)
And this is the same model after being run through POV-Ray 3.6 (Notice there is
no visible seam between the rails and the platform piece.)

| (...) Hi David, The short answer is that there are no seams, only lines. Since a line is a one-dimensional object it is invisible in POVray. | (...) Hi David, The problem is a shortcoming in L3P. The way L3P adds seam "lines" is to shrink the pieces by a small amount. How L3P determines what to shrink (since it wouldn't be appropriate to shrink any subpart assemblies) may introduce the (...) (18 years ago, 23-Sep-06, to lugnet.people.newbie, lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

| Just an update. I never really resolved the problem. But for now I am working around the problem by manually entering the .5 spacing that L3P would usually add between parts in POV-Ray. | (...) The problem is that L3P fails to recognize the two unofficial parts as parts. Try moving 3429.DAT and 3430.DAT to the PARTS folder.
