  Re: HI!!!!

well thank you for the welcome! I know, a year pass would do me just fine! I am not sure why I have not got it yet. I have been there 5 times this year - that is over the price for a year pass for my son and I. If I had a year pass I know I would (...) (24 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.people.newbie)

  Re: HI!!!!

(...) Howdy, we'll add you to the ranks of newbies who pop up so often lately. Welcome and may you build many oddly colored movie sets. I live up in the Ontario area, so I may run into you one day or another at Legoland. You live so close, I'd (...) (24 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.people.newbie)

  HI!!!!

Hi all!! I am kinda new to the lugnet site, but very new to this part of it! Just wanted to stop in here and say hi. THe parts I love the most has to be the mini-figs, and the not-so-common colors. I love the silver bricks and the trans. parts very (...) (24 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.people.newbie)

Re: search by "Phrase" (not "Keyword[s]")

(...) No problem. ;-) Thanks for answering, BTW. I'm _still_ waiting for an answer to the _other_ question that I posted (in ".faq"), though... ;-) Thanks, Franklin (24 years ago, 4-Dec-00, to lugnet.people.newbie, lugnet.faq)

Re: search by "Phrase" (not "Keyword[s]")

(...) How bad is it? When I need it, I really really need it, and I'd be willing to have to go through a "do you really mean to do this, it's gonna be slow and you may wait a long time because I'm gonna set the priority on this thread really low so (...)   Re: search by "Phrase" (not "Keyword[s]")

(...) Let me explain. :-) The info at the URL you gave me, i.e., using plus signs in front of the keywords, will guarantee that all results of the search will have those keywords _in_ _any_ _order_. They do _not_ guarantee that I will find a (...) (24 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.people.newbie, lugnet.faq)

Re: search by "Phrase" (not "Keyword[s]")

Hi Franklin and anyone else -- This question was answered not long ago I think, and was added to Cary Clark's (extremely useful) FAQ...: (URL) (24 years ago, 2-Dec-00, to lugnet.people.newbie, lugnet.faq)

  search by "Phrase" (not "Keyword[s]")

Todd, How do I search LUGNet using a _phrase_ of keywords? For a specific example, how would I search for those messages containing the exact phrase "Lego geek code"? (Please note that I am specifically *not* interested in those messages that happen (...) (24 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.people.newbie, lugnet.faq)

  Re: Brick count for minifigs.

(...) From my own experience: *Leg assembly (left leg, right leg, and hip pieces) is counted as one piece. *Torso/head assembly (head, torso, left and right arms, both hands) is counted as one piece. *Any head gear (excluding the visor, feather, (...)   Re: Brick count for minifigs.

(...) Usually a minifig counts as 3 pieces: 1 head/torso 1 set of legs 1 helmet/hairpiece I seem to recall that visors are counted, but extra pieces aren't always counted, so if there's an extra visor, they may or may not be counted as 2 pieces.   Re: Brick count for minifigs.

(...) I think that LegoCo counts the "torso-and-head" as _one_ piece, because whenever I had them send me a replacement head (to replace a defective/misprinted head), they always send the head attached to the appropriate torso, and never just the (...)   Brick count for minifigs.

Can anyone explain how the brick count for minifigs works? I'm under the assumption that the legs, torso, and head all count as separate pieces, but this doesn't always seems to jive with the listed piece count. On a slightly related note, do visors (...)   Re: Creating my set list

Hi Jodi, Try looking up any set you own. Rate it and leave comments about it. As you do this, you are generating your set list. Don't try to do it all at once...it's maddening. I suggest working on it one theme at a time. -Dave (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.people.newbie)
