Can anyone explain how the brick count for minifigs works?
I'm under the assumption that the legs, torso, and head
all count as separate pieces, but this doesn't always
seems to jive with the listed piece count.

I think that LegoCo counts the "torso-and-head"
as _one_ piece, because whenever I had them send me
a replacement head (to replace a defective/misprinted head),
they always send the head attached to the appropriate torso,
and never just the head by itself.

Then again, I could be wrong.
Hope this helps.
