Usually a minifig counts as 3 pieces:
1 head/torso
1 set of legs
1 helmet/hairpiece
I seem to recall that visors are counted, but extra pieces aren't always
counted, so if there's an extra visor, they may or may not be counted as 2
pieces. Dunno about coins, though...
