I have SquirrelMail webmail and the worm load is causing it to not function at
all sometimes.
Another tool is in Eudora (I have 5.1, 6 is much newer.) Eudora can be set to
not download messages over a certain size so that only the first few lines are
downloaded until after you approve it. This can help speed up weeding your mail.
Only they are not actually deleted, I can't figure why not, so I have to use
webmail to delete them (see above.)
Problem with starting a clean email address: all it takes is a virus on one
recipient's computer to let it out in the open. Spamcop used to be good for a
public address, but those were simpler days.
An ISP with Spam Assassin also does help.
