Does anyone else suffer under the benighted corporate monstrosity known as Blue Pumpkin? I'd be gratified to hear of others' frustrations with this idiotic piece of pseudo-useful software. Thanks. Dave! (20 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.people)

Re: speaking of dead in the water...

(...) Correct! And as for quotes, because I am having a birthday (not my fiftieth!!) Joe says to Norman: "There's nothing tragic about being fifty. Not unless you're trying to be twenty-five" Angela (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Anyone in North-Central PA (Williamsport area)?

Hi, this is Bill Ward from California (Silicon Valley area; BayLUG/BayLTC member). I'm currently visiting my wife's family in Williamsport and would be interested in meeting up with any LEGO fans in the area. Please email bill@wards.net to get in (...)   Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

Hi, Is this really lgbt lego oriented, or can this be moved to off topic? I didn't join this newsgroup to discuss what a sodomite is, frankly. Not that there is anything wrong with being one. Angela (20 years ago, 12-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

You neglected to show the context in which I used that word in the first place, which was to show that by the term 'sodomite' one would know both 'sexual (...)   Re: Hidden Mickeys...

(...) Hi, let me be the first one to say welcome to Lugnet and to LGBT. Cool models, I never been in LEGOLAND California yet though but I was in Windsor and Gunzburg (didn't find any of those though). Yaron (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

(...) Agreed. It is also inaccurate in that (at least in my view, which may be flawed because I'm hetero) having a preference and acting on that preference are not at all the same thing. (and the distinction goes a lot deeper than that) However I (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt, FTX)

Even if this term wasn't used against someone, it (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt, FTX)

speaking of dead in the water...

Hey I finally got around to setting up my account at brickshelf. Can anyone guess the gay icon movie that I have represented in this MOC? Being a filmmaker and therefore narcissistic I have put myself into the main character's, uh, role. The Chinese (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

(...) I know I didn't read ALL of the postings for the prior discussion, so I may have missed the ones Saskia is saying she was bashed in, but of the ones I did read, I didn't see anyone 'gay bashing', using crude/derogatory slangs at anyone else.   Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

This doesn't make any sense to me. It's like Monty Pythons "Life of Brian" when they talk about fighting for the right for men to have babies even though they can't physically have them. It would be like fighting for the legal right to marry and (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Hello! (...) Maybe that's a good sign. This group was founded for those who felt uncomfortable posting certain things in the "normal" Lugnet newsgroups.
