Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

(...) I believe 'sodomite' is an accurate term, and the way I used it was not to bash anyone. You neglected to show the context in which I used that word in the first place, which was to show that by the term 'sodomite' one would know both 'sexual (...)   Re: Hidden Mickeys...

(...) Hi, let me be the first one to say welcome to Lugnet and to LGBT. Cool models, I never been in LEGOLAND California yet though but I was in Windsor and Gunzburg (didn't find any of those though). Yaron (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

(...) Agreed. It is also inaccurate in that (at least in my view, which may be flawed because I'm hetero) having a preference and acting on that preference are not at all the same thing. (and the distinction goes a lot deeper than that) However I (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt, FTX)

Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

(...) (URL) "Come on, before the modern term of 'homosexual' was coined into English, everyone knew what a sodomite was..." 'Sodomite', in case you didn't know, is considered offensive and an insult. Even if this term wasn't used against someone, it (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt, FTX)

speaking of dead in the water...

Hey I finally got around to setting up my account at brickshelf. Can anyone guess the gay icon movie that I have represented in this MOC? Being a filmmaker and therefore narcissistic I have put myself into the main character's, uh, role. The Chinese (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

(...) I know I didn't read ALL of the postings for the prior discussion, so I may have missed the ones Saskia is saying she was bashed in, but of the ones I did read, I didn't see anyone 'gay bashing', using crude/derogatory slangs at anyone else.   Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

This doesn't make any sense to me. It's like Monty Pythons "Life of Brian" when they talk about fighting for the right for men to have babies even though they can't physically have them. It would be like fighting for the legal right to marry and (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

(...) No, I'm feeling too uncomfortable to post... Afraid to be bashed all over Lugnet again... And that is no good. Not at all. Saskia (20 years ago, 10-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Re: Is lgbt dead in the water?

Hello! (...) Maybe that's a good sign. This group was founded for those who felt uncomfortable posting certain things in the "normal" Lugnet newsgroups. So when nobody is posting to .lgbt it possibly means there is - currently - nobody feeling (...) (20 years ago, 10-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

Is lgbt dead in the water?

o.k......Now what? We have our group site that we fought tooth and nail for and now it sits for days on end without any new postngs. The same can be said for all of the other new people groups too. Are we going to progress and come up with a theme (...) (20 years ago, 10-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  Re: Elevador Moments

(...) I got a kick when I read this story because it reminds me so much of the public transit experiences I've had. About two weeks ago I was in downtown San Diego and thought I could take the trolley or an express bus to my next stop and decided to (...) (20 years ago, 8-Oct-04, to lugnet.people)

  Elevador Moments

Wed October 6 1:43am est. I am writing this as it is fresh in my mind. I just stepped off the elevador and boy was it funny. It all started when I was riding my bike up to the building where I live. I ussually make a right turn and the head past the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.people)

  Hidden Mickeys...

Hey there everybody. I'm happy to finally post to the LGBT list. Actually, this is the first time ever that I post to Lugnet--so yay! Anyways, I thought it would be cool to start a new thread here. If any of you have been to Walt Disney World or (...) (20 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.lgbt)

  I was an ADULTFOL...

...but the "adult" part of FOL always seemed to not fit great since my inner child always seemed to be trying to get out (I guess that would explain why I like PPG and SpongeBob so much). Of course, now that I am in my 4th Dark Ages, the F part has (...) (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.people.adults)
