Actually, I think Dave meant to say:

There's nothing to stop you from shooting/throwing a weapon of some
sort into a wormhole, but you are, in this case, at a disadvantage. If
fact, it needs to follow the same rules as if you are trying to shoot
at something you can't see.

hmmm...  that's how I think, but that's not how it was explained to me.
I will agree that if you can see the other end of the wormhole, and see
your target, you should be able to do SOME aiming... but it won't be
easy!
