Actually, it was my original intent to make that part nice and rounded as
well, but I couldn't find a good way of doing it-- and because of the width
and 'tilt-in-edness' of the windshield it made it rather difficult... But I
admit I didn't spend a lot of time trying to work around the problem...

Yeah, the real reason behind the 8-wide was making the doors 'hang' off the
sides-- in 6 wide, the wheels just wouldn't corner nicely... plus, 8-wide
just 'felt' right... I dunno... I'm not even a train head and I'm already
converted :)

That was really the trickiest part. I almost gave up twice and thought I
might resort to using paper to fill the gaps, but when I played around with
this design, it just came together really well, IMHO.

Yeah, I'm not sure whether it should run or not-- the mid-section makes it
pretty fragile, so a floor-landing would completely total it. But running on
an interior track would be fine (Assuming that it's able to clear
stoplights, etc). It also takes up track space oddly since the wheels aren't
located at the ends of the car... So maybe just have it out for display?
Dunno.. if it doesn't run, no big whoop :)
