Heh. Well, that was part of their new regime- I had to call back to talk to a
specific person (she wasn't there when I called the first time).
Perhaps this is actually something that in some small way was set in motion by
the last NELUG meeting (when, if you remember, the room had been given to
someone else, and we had to push to get it vacated).

Bison County is a great meeting place for a few reasons- first, it's right
across the street from TCS, making directions a snap, and affording an added
attraction (beyond our stellar companionship) to AFOLs from further afield
areas of New England- like New Hamshire- and beyond, not to mention from other
parts of the world. Second, it's got that private room, and to be honest I'm
having trouble thinking of another restaurant in Waltham that has one...
anyway, that's great for being able to display and view MOCs without feeling
weird about breaking some of the programmed social conventions of dining in a
restaurant (noise, moving around, etc). Third, the price for the room is
right- our business only, which is probably pretty good, all things considered
(meetings average 15 people, most of whom have a beer or two *and* get dinner).
And there are plenty of ancillary items, too- food is actually good, IMHO;
parking is easy, close to two forms of public transportation (Comm. Rail and
the buses), blah blah blah.
Anyway, given the relative perfection of Bison County as a place to hang our
hats one night every couple of months or so, I'd hate to get forced out. I
don't think we can go back to meeting in Eric K's office. :D

Heh! Actually, with Jeff's post, we're up to the magic 15 (assuming no
cancellations), and that doesn't include some people I highly suspect will make
it there, only the ones I have heard say will be there.

Very crafty. We'll have to be sure not to act like a spooky cult when you do
finally bring her.
"we're SO glad you're here with us, now. please, have some kool-aid and
cookies. eric k will be right out to welcome you personally."
