Re: New Hope Valley Railroad LEGO Train Exhibit

A while back when we had hoped to do a show at Dorton Arena or the Raleigh Civic Center (I can't recall which) we (Frank Filz, James Beerman, and myself) agreed upon using the PNLTC style wooden tables. This makes sense for several reasons among (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Re: New Hope Valley Railroad LEGO Train Exhibit

Sounds great. If I can arrange to be in town for the June/July date, I'll gladly participate. I have plenty of straight track and points that I could bring for a trial garage setup and a show. My current layout is 3 4'x8' tables that hold as much (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Re: New Hope Valley Railroad LEGO Train Exhibit

Sounds like a good idea, though one problem I have right now is that I would have no place to store tables, but would like to own some. If someone had space to store my tables, one advantage would be that we would have a set of tables which don't (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

My chop saw can cut 4'x4's. It's got a 10" blade. I don't have a circular saw, but it's fun to buy power tools, so I may look into picking one up if no one has one now. The module plans are at: (URL) looks like there's no glue, only screws (although (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Excellent comments - let's keep a good dialog going. I am okay with ZNAP - I bought four sets for the sole purpose of building some sort of bridge. My efforts are on a smaller scale though as my bridge is only four pieces of straight track long. I (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Re: New Hope Valley Railroad LEGO Train Exhibit

Sounds like a good idea. June 17th is out for me, but I think every other date is ok. I have a 4x8 table already, but I'm sure the length of the legs is wrong. I think they're 3ft+plywood thickness, and the screws poke out. Changing to new legs (...) (24 years ago, 4-May-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

(...) Great, that chop saw will make quick work of the framing. (...) If we have a circular saw, a jig could be built to make quick work of the triangles, otherwise, a jigsaw would be the best way to go. If we don't have a circular saw, it may be (...) I'm not available June 10, July 1, 3 and 29.
