Makes sense, shouldn’t be a big deal to meet in Kalamazoo.

I can talk to my friend in town to see if we can meet at one of the local
hobby stores, like Fanfare Comics or Discount Hobby. Fanfare is next to
Rider’s Hobby Shop (assuming nothing has changed in the past year). Or we can
meet at a restaurant (Bilbo’s Pizza is my pick).

Fanfare is in the same complex as Rider’s, although they are not next to each
other. They moved a store or two down within the last two years. The folks at
Fanfare are pretty cool, they probably won’t mind. Discount Hobby was sold a
number of years ago and the name was changed to “The Game Shop”. They used to
have a real creepy clerk behind the counter, but the last time I was in there,
everything was 40% as they were closing. Rumor’s I’ve heard since indicate that
the store might have been sold again, so it could be operating under a different
name.
I haven’t been to Bilbo’s Pizza, so I don’t know what it is like inside. After
the meeting that Lar mentioned, I suggested we all go to Olde Pennisula, which
seemed to be a hit with all, so that’s got my vote, but I’m not super picky.

I know the holidays are a tough time to meet so no worries if nobody else
wants to get together.

I’ll post another note to our internal list, I know not everyone remembers to
check the lugnet group all the time.
