You got it. OK, so I’m supposed to be Mr. Bigtime-Lego-Spaceship-Builder, right? Our home is brimming with space MOC’s galore. And what is my 3 year old son into? Trains!!! He’s got the Thomas the Tank Engine toys, books, videos, Leap Pad story, and even pajamas. We even went out to the rail museum for the Day Out with Thomas. So the other day he discovered my Lego S@H catalog and now he wants Lego train sets. Sheesh, my spawn...the trainhead. Imagine that.

Hehe, it happens! Nik’s a spacer through and through, so I feel your pain.

So is your son coming with? I can try to remember to bring my copy of Kevin Wilson’s LEGO Thomas(1) and cars and track and stuff (although setting up in a restaurant may not work out, I dunno.) along for his elucidation.

MichLUG peeps, you might want to start thinking about where to meet. I’d prefer to meet in Kalamazoo since I don’t know for sure what my transportation situation will be.

I can talk to my friend in town to see if we can meet at one of the local hobby stores, like Fanfare Comics or Discount Hobby. Fanfare is next to Rider’s Hobby Shop (assuming nothing has changed in the past year). Or we can meet at a restaurant (Bilbo’s Pizza is my pick).

I know the holidays are a tough time to meet so no worries if nobody else wants to get together.

Hopefully Dave K. or Stefan or some of the Kzoo locals will want to meet too, which would solve the “where” problem... we had a meeting in the basement of Dave’s church one time. Very neat architecture (if you’re a townie that is...).

1 - er, technically it’s not a Thomas. Kevin isn’t licensed. So it’s just a blue and black tank engine that looks a lot like Thomas does, within the limits of the medium.
