    Layout samples —Ed McGlynn
Hi All - I started generating some layout samples that use 5 of the 30x60 tables. See: (URL) also the puny single table (30x72, I think) layout I used at a show some years ago. With that as a scale, I think the 5 table design is easily attended to (...) (22 years ago, 19-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

        Re: Layout samples —John Barnes
I guess I'm not very "up" on train displays, the only Lego ones I've seen up close were at BrickFest and BricksWest. What I notice about your layouts is they all feature only one continuously circulating track as far as I can see. I understand a lot (...) (22 years ago, 19-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

         Re: Layout samples —Ed McGlynn
(...) Easy enough to add a second loop to achieve what you're commenting on. You're right - I drew these up fron a single sided viewpoint, I think. I've added a couple more designs on Brickshelf - one is a separate disjointed loop and the other is (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

          Re: Layout samples —Wayne Sardullo
Now I remember why I did so good in Math when it came to geometry... Anyhow, I looked over everything so far and said to myself.. I already knew train track takes up space but, after working in the Automation switches and crossing as well as #2 (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

(...) Automation (...) however (...) Okay, I have looked at all the ideas so far and I have many opinions and some observations, only some of which I will give you now. John Barnes and Lar are right. We need some way to have as many trains as (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

          Re: Layout samples —John Rudy
(...) <snip> Okay All, I decided to take Wayne's design this morning and run. First, I copied Wayne's tracks and started playing. I think I addressed the problem with a yard, and the buildings problem. But, the tracks came out simple. Have a look: (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

          Re: Layout samples —Wayne Sardullo
Cool, John I don't mind your layout however it really doesnt allow for alot of stock cars to get side tracked. With that in mind I took my last design and merged it into something that you did with some altered table adjustments.. You will see now (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

          Re: Layout samples —Nicole Drumm
This is a bit better. A couple of bridges would be nice. (eye candy) My question is what about access to the center? Jump over or climb under them sounds risky to me. Any one read this?: (URL) need an answer so I can proceed with our Lucnyville (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

           Re: Layout samples —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Crawl under is very very typical. Jump over is very very foolish. Bring a piece of carpet or rug to put at the spot where everyone crawls in/out... you'll be doing it more than you think and your knees will really appreciate it. (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

           Re: Layout samples —James Brown
(...) Yes! Even with carpet we did more crawling that we cared to at our last show - so our new layout includes a Bascule bridge. :) James (NALUG) (22 years ago, 21-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

          Re: Layout samples —Kevin Salm
(...) of (...) Wayne, you forgot one major detail: due to the physical table layout, the bridge gap will have to be offset if we use 5 tables. Oh--it looks like you are using only 4 tables in this plan. Nate Jacobs mentioned a few posts back that he (...) (22 years ago, 22-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

          Re: Layout samples —Dave Amos
(...) Hey, Im working on a 30x60 module that could easily be added to the layout (though no train attachment) for shows when Im out there and able. This is along the same idea as what you were thinking, I believe. Its a simple collection of some (...) (22 years ago, 22-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

         Re: Layout samples —Larry Pieniazek
(...) You're not at all off base. The next MichLTC layout will have the capacity for 5 9V operating units (4 trains and one trolley) at the same time. More motion == goodness. (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)
