LOL! I'm not at all worried about the gears breaking (as Lar++ suggested) but
its just not 'right'. Its not mechanically 'nice'. Iain would understand. Gears
have things called pitch circles that define the 'correct' spacing they should
be set apart. This ensures smooth running without binding. Oh well, to each his
own. I have seen worse things done with lego gears: bevel gears driving spur
gears, worms driving bevel gears, gears used as wheels, gears used as
decoration...
