Re: [rtlToronto] Roadshow 2003 Toronto —Benjamin Medinets
Hey... it looked like you guys had fun. I'm glad I had a chance to come to the event despite having to work yesterday. I uploaded the pictures this morning from my camera to Brickshelf. Here is the Brickshelf link: (URL) is the my (FTX) version of (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: [rtlToronto] Roadshow 2003 Toronto —Benjamin Medinets
(...) Well I now updated it, so that it is essentially complete. I added text included a description of each station, and added pictures where appropriate. Thanks, Ben (21 years ago, 11-Jul-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: [rtlToronto] Roadshow 2003 Toronto —Calum Tsang
(...) As a side note: "I spent $26 CDN to spend about 2 hours at the LEGO show. Maybe next time LEGO will pick a more reasonable place to have a cool event." Think of it less as a destination than as an interesting sideshow. I believe the the idea (...) (21 years ago, 11-Jul-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: [rtlToronto] Roadshow 2003 Toronto —Benjamin Medinets
(...) Mmmmm.... well I've been to the other Zoo's before, and at my age, seeing animals pretending to be in their natural habitat doesn't really appeal to me. Personally, I only went was to experience what a LEGO roadshow was like. I would have (...) (21 years ago, 11-Jul-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

What kind of events do Ontario LEGO builders want? (WAS Re: [rtlToronto] Roadshow 2003 Toronto) —Allan Bedford
(...) Calum, your posting got me thinking. (which in itself can be a dangerous thing, so beware!) And so I am going to knowingly and blatantly highjack this thread in hopes of generating some discussion among Ontario builders, both in and outside of (...)       (...) I've been trying to attend this show for the last 8 years or so and still haven't made it there yet. :-( There always seems to be something else that comes up that weekend that needs to be taken care of. Since there is going to be a definate (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Re: What kind of events do Ontario LEGO builders want? (WAS Re: [rtlToronto] Roadshow 2003 Toronto) —Allan Bedford
(...) For the record, it's always held on the first full weekend of November. As well, it's not just a show for geeky adult men with hobbies. The quilting exhibit has become large over the last few years... great for wives that quilt or sew. There's (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Re: What kind of events do Ontario LEGO builders want? (Snow Brick TM) —Richard Noeckel
(...) I do like the fact that the show is free to participants! (For me that would be a draw to the event and to take-part) (...) I'm suer All of rtlToronto could show up en mass to the show if the group got organized...i'd make the effort if there (...)          Re: What kind of events do Ontario LEGO builders want? (Snow Brick TM) —Allan Bedford
(...) Hello Richard, Thanks for your comments! (...) Yes, I hoped that would help for people to know that. The show itself (apart from what we will contribute) is fun. And of course, there's always time to step away from the booth to wander the show (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jul-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

(...) Hi Allan, Personally, being in Ottawa, I did travel to rtl/Train1 & Train2, but that was down and back the same day, which is a lot of driving time and gas. Staying over could get really costly, especially for those of us "income-challenged" (...) (21 years ago, 14-Jul-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Re: What kind of events do Ontario LEGO builders want? (WAS Re: [rtlToronto] Roadshow 2003 Toronto) —Allan Bedford
(...) Hi Tim, Thanks for taking the time to comment on this! (...) Here's a thought. I'll throw it out there, and you can see what you think. What if 2, or 3, or more Ottawa area builders car-pooled and then shared lodging in Toronto? Even if they (...)
