    Learning from LOR... —David Koudys
So here's a few things I learned whilst building LOR... My usual 'reinforce until the cows come home' doesn't work when the idea is to keep it light Artifacts increase exponentially per every change--to eliminate artifacts, you must start rebuilding (...)         Re: Learning from LOR... —Chris Magno
Dave re these two problems (...) have you tried putting an RCX in each leg. maybe even using the rcx as a foot. now the bot only has to lift the weight if the bot and ONE rcx per step. also with the RCX down low you lower the COG. just a thought. (...) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Learning from LOR... —David Koudys
(...) It's the COG reasons why I put the RCX's at the top--I don't want the COG to be close to the bottom--I want it to be kinda in the middle of the torso, as well as most of the weight as close to the center line as possible. That way, if the 'bot (...) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Learning from LOR... —Iain Hendry
(...) Then call it LORetta, and say she has pregnants. :) Iain (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Learning from LOR... —David Koudys
(...) A pregnant 'bot. Hmmmm.... Well, we'll see about that. I also wanted to point out, for those who have mentioned in the past, the more, shall we say, colourful nature of my previous 'bots, that LOR is as black as it can be-- Every Technic (...)          Re: Learning from LOR... —Iain Hendry
(...) With all that then we can also note that it is unlikely it would be pregnant with three yellow and grey babies. :) Iain (who thinks Priroda ( (URL) a beautiful name for a girl) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

What's in a name... —Steve Hassenplug
(...) This reminds me. Chris, have you come up with a good baby name? (you don't have to answer 'till you get home) Here's something we signed up for. But the darn kid showed up 23 days too late... (URL) do you think? "Turok Mango" OH, Yea. I like (...) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What's in a last name... —David Koudys
(...) FYI, it's Magno, not Mango But I'm sure Chris would point this out if he had time to. Dave K (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What's in a last name... —Richard Noeckel
(...) ~Ah, the memories: (URL) say we have a vote to formally change Chris’ last name! ;) Magno is cool an’ all... (it had an ’80-esk vice squad appeal to it) But 'Mango' is jus’ far more fun to say!!! ;P <runs away> --==Richard==-- (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Talk about Rolling on the Floor, laughing my guts out!!! Not to toot my own horn, but I like what I said in response to that post!! (URL) that was a fun article!!! Ben... who thinks he should Grin, Duck, and Run also!!! :) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What's in a last name... —Derek Raycraft
(...) I think Magno is a great name. Its a super villain kind of name. I can just picture Bat Man in the Bat Cave looking at his Bat Magnetometer, saying "These readings can only mean one thing Robin, Magno has returned to Gotham!" It's just Chris (...)          Re: What's in a name... —Chris Magno
(...) umm, I'll run it by Kate but she is some what of a traditionalist.... I want "Grey" for a boy, named after a character in a book. But it will not happen and will end up with something traditional. Kate and I have both settled on boy/girl names (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: What's in a name... —Steve Hassenplug
(...) I've always liked the three step approach: MATT... MATTHEW... MATTHEW THOMAS... (...) hmm. yes. sorry about that. typo. this time. :) Actually, I usually don't have a problem with people mispelling my last name. They ALWAYS ask.           Re: What's in a name... —Chris Magno
(...) hummm I like that.. it has a certain appeal. let me try it with one of my other rejected alternates BUTROS.... BUTROS BUTROS... BUTROS BUTROS GALI......... Hey that works...
