Who is this Mario guy, and how can I get some of those LEDs?

Mario DeFacendis is my friend and sometimes rtlToronto person. Together we entered rtl10 Project X and tried to enter rtl15 Deep Yellow. Sometimes you’ll see him post in this NG or appear at an rtlToronto event.

The LED’s are literally garden variety, 25 cents a piece LEDs. They’re the kind you’d find at Radio Shack in the project area, or your local surplus electronic parts stores in a bin of hundreds.

As Martin says, look for the ones which have cloudy plastic around it, it diffuses the light.
