  [rtlToronto] rtlToronto11 Photos Online

Hi folks, In August 2002, rtlToronto presented an event called "A Brick Too Far". Nearly a year after the last rtlToronto robot game photo update, here's the first of several galleries of event photos*: (URL) Note I've been a lot better at getting (...) (URL) - 1.6 MByte MPEG, 31s ...and this, ladies and gentlemen, is what 1 000 kW worth of hydraulic pumps, a 30 000 l/min hydraluic proportional valve, and 6 slipring assemblies by wampfler get you. Iain PS - I'm working on the model again. (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: RCX Train Sensor

(...) Jeff, I'll admit that as a train thing I had minimal interest, but for some reason the idea percolated in my brain and I cant help but try to figure out some sort of robot application for this. Chris Why do solar calculators have an off (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: RCX Train Sensor

(...) I solved the unreliable light sensor problem [1], although my version still sticks out two studs from the tracks on one side, and five out on the other. Also there's an extra wire, due to shining a light bulb at the sensor. But we just ran a (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains)

  Re: RCX Train Sensor

(...) Yeah, I am after an all-Lego solution; not just for purity reasons, but I'd be too worried about frying the RCX with my less-than-impressive electornics skills. Besides, given that my whole layout seems to be elevated 18 bricks high, it's (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains)

Re: So how many pieces do you have anyway?

I've got a little over 13,700 pieces. Of those, 555 are technic pins with friction. Funny, it doesn't seem like that many :-) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) That's where I'd like to know. I still not sure if I can go. I might have to work. I just got back from NY State (Buffalo) on another 2 week (work) vacation courtesy of (U)ncle (S)am, or I'd post sooner. I just want to say that if it is in the (...) Hey folks, Calum here with Iain. Today both of us had the honour of being the first two people ever on the brand new Huss Jump2 amusement ride here at sunny Paramount's Canada's Wonderland (PCWo). Yes, that's right-Iain was the first, I was the (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

So how many pieces do you have anyway?

This is a question I've been asked, and I'm sure the rest of you have been asked many times. Until now I've had no idea how to answer it realistically. Estimates by myself and others have run from 100,000 to 250,000 pieces and sometimes more. But (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
