  Re: Merry-go-Round

(...) Man, that rocks! I love the way you've detailed it--the typical carnie lights and colours on the top, the warning patterns on the floor. And I'm not even a fan of amusement parks in train layouts, either. Calum (22 years ago, 12-Mar-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: I broke my leg...

(...) Oh my... Your story is much more gruesome than mine. Thankfully my break is pretty clean, so no surgery or power tools were required. Sometime the similarities between surgeons and construction workers are striking. (...) Well, I fell down my (...) (22 years ago, 12-Mar-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Merry-go-Round

As promised, a few pics: (URL) really have to see it in action. Perhaps I'll put it on top of my robot so people will have something to watch as Chris' bot struggles to climb the hill. :D Jeff E (22 years ago, 12-Mar-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I have a solution for you: Duct tape. And yellow stripey caution tape. (or better, police tape!) Just get some chairs, duct tape them to the floor, and attach caution tape to them (also using duct tape!). Chris, I can't imagine that you dont (...) (...) Now we have some good rtlToronto taunting going on...   I got this NAILED

HA! don't even bother showing up guys. it took a few hours, BUT i have the software nailed. I now have a bot, that can drive to the box, and through a neat sensor arrangement know when i am climbing AND at the top. so if you are silly enough to use (...)   Re: ready or not.... your OUT!

(...) I have a couple things to say, here. First of all, I'd suggest the main goal of this whole thing is for everyone to have fun. Right? And fun is catchy. It seems to me if we're having fun, the audience will have fun. And they also add to the (...) (22 years ago, 12-Mar-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) <snip> (...) Now this type of leadership is inspiring... Nicely said Chris. I always figured that Calum was more the diplomat... ;) Anyway, I'm going to start a 'bot tonight, and see how far I get. If it's completely technicolour, it's because (...) This is not what our group is about, never has been. In my opinion, we've taken a step in the wrong direction. (22 years ago, 12-Mar-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Did I hear you offering fronting the nearly $300 a day fee it'll cost to rent the Library post spring 2003? Thanks Bruce! Calum (22 years ago, 12-Mar-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: ready or not.... your OUT!

(...) First, I'd like to point out that I'm almost always ready. This discussion about scoring, being ready, and entertaining people for an hour is really bringing home the point that we're selling ourselves out for the stink'in library. My interest (...) No worries Chris... remember my only-ever Sumo entry? The fish sticker from the Diver's line of sets?
