  Re: smash up derby

(...) OK, so were on the same page..... its not gonna be a deliberately break your $100 receiver brick... BUT if you have a design that will allow for a broken beam or plate.. then that MIGHT happen. either way I'm still in. I'm a big boy now.. I (...)   Re: smash up derby

(...) I appreciate Calum's efforts to be clear about what could happen in this event. This is why I won't be participating. However I will come to watch the carnage. :-) Derek p.s. If Calum will let me use my 1945 Bugatti, then I'd enter the (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: smash up derby

(...) I think you've got the wrong idea. I'm not saying _I_ will build something that destroys Lego, but I don't want anyone thinking this will be something like other LUGs where people HAVE TO WASH THEIR HANDS AFTER EATING BEFORE TOUCHING A MOC. (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: smash up derby

If anyone's interested, I can help put some hazards together for the playing field. I have an air compressor and some extra cylinders that we could use to design humm... whatever. Depending on how we do this, it still might not be LEGO destructive, (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: smash up derby

(...) You know where I stand on the idea... I have so many old bems 'n stuff that I don't care if they break. I once build a cube out of solid LEGO bricks... if you want to take that idea, I highly doubt that a 6 battery box hammer could damage that (...)   Re: smash up derby

(...) Actually, I'm not. (...) My idea is really the same at any rtlToronto event: Come with the expectation you'll be buying all new RCXes and parts, that way you're not going to be pissed if anything breaks. Lego is pretty resilient, but I'm not (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  smash up derby

Steve Hassenplug wrote in private e-mail (...) again, I have to stress that when Calum says that we are in this to DESTROY LEGO he is exaggerating. we would not really hold and event that would willfully allow battery box hammers. as well, if at (...) (...) Actually, at the suggestion of Wamalug's Christina Hitchcock, I bought a 10000 Guarded Inn this past weekend. It's a nifty little set-quite cute.
