  Re: rtl12 Rules

(...) That's a good question. I'm still working out the plans. Our current plan is to drop off boy #1 with grandma & grandpa on Friday afternoon. Then, continue up to Toronto Friday evening.   Re: ECRG wrap up and notes

(...) Hey, don't worry about it. It would have been a bit of a bust anyways, apart from watching Rob, because of the low attendance. (I kind of feel bad asking Derek out there) The little robots drew good interest, especially from the youngsters (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  RCX Nameplate Tiles

Stupid project time! While at ECRG Rob mentioned it would be useful to have two tiles that said M and S for Master and Slave so one wouldn't get confused. I first grabbed a pair of black tiles with a really ugly Star Wars orange and white pattern on (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtl12 Rules

(...) If it has not already been correct it will be soon... Calum and I have decided that a 3 min match is about as long as we want to watch small tracked robots move around a small floor. Can I assume then that you will be joining us in our fair (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  rtl12 Rules

I have a small rules question. I'm sure this is not important, but the rules page: (URL) a small conflict on it. How long do the matches last? Under "What's the Contest?", it says five minutes, but under "Gameplay" is says three minutes. I don't (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Listen, sonny, back in the day, machines had node names, because they were expensive boxen like Suns, not some generic made down the street boxes attached to some wussy residential network that doled out temporary DHCP addresses. No, machines (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Bruce is the man

(...) Its really simple: Always make sure that there is at least a 10ms delay before the slave tries to respond to the master. I stuck in delays of 20ms before every reply, and it worked like a charm! I also made sure I wasn't sending messages from (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  funny story today @ Zellers...

I was browsing the now pretty meager stock of Lego at one Niagara-based Zellers. Last time I was there, around 2 weeks ago, just before the start of the BOGO 50% off sale, they had a whole pallet of those Star Wars 2 packs for $10.00 each. Now there (...)
