  Re: Slave 1/Desert Skiff

(...) Don't play games with me man, are they really having a BOGOHP tomorrow? Really? Man this is going to hurt. :-) Derek (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  OUCH!!!

Once, a while ago, some one on Lugnet asked about being hurt by lego. most of the replies were from people stepping bare foot on the 2x4 brick. BAH!!! come to my house, I'll show you the SECOND device that has hurt me..... First it was the biting (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Slave 1/Desert Skiff

(...) I've been looking at that Hogwarts Express, but it's really far too overpriced. I need some of those red train windows, but the alternative is that Ball Bus II combo, which for some inconceivable reason, is $39 at Zellers. I saw an Escape from (...)   Slave 1/Desert Skiff

Well, whilst perusing the LEGO isle at Zellers (Burlington Mall) at lunch today, and debating whether or not to get the Hogwarts Express/Dumbledoor office (both 69 dollars) so I get the BOGO thing happening, I noticed the 7144/7104 kit for 19.97 (...)   Re: Little Delivery Van

Very nice, Calum! I'm trying to get better at designing automobiles in 4-wide scale, but it's kind of funny; I'm a bold adventurer when it comes to SNOT building with architecture, but for some reason, I just stack bricks in cars. :P Huh. In other (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Little Delivery Van

Here's a model I built the other day: (URL) uses very few unusual pieces except the canopy which is in the Slave1, currently on sale for $7.50! Calum (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: My "Legends" building spree

(...) Larry - we said the same about the engines when they came out. I think TLC have aimed for the middle-ground and missed! Let's face it, no-one's going to own up to having these engines in their country. They're pretty good sets, nevertheless. I (...)   Re: My "Legends" building spree

(...) That's really weird! A lot of US proto modelers find them rather more european than they care for. Must be they're actually somewhere in the middle, in the zone where they don't look 100% right to either camp. (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains)

  Constables on Patrol

Knocking on your door at 4 a.m. can never be a good thing... So, bleary eyed and dragging my heinie out of bed, the officeer tells me that someone broke into my li'l pickup truck. Get dressed, go down to the street, look at said '88 Dodge pickup. (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: My next big conflict

(...) let me see if i got this right...... You (Steve Hassenplug) would rather attend some generic non challenging non lego robot game where people will watch in fascination, as small (20cmx20cm) robot bulldozers go head to head. You (Steve (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: My "Legends" building spree

(...) My fav. of the currently available sets is the sleeper from the Santa Fe sets. It combines a LOT of ideas to make a very nice single level car. Oh, Calum, my dad said to say hi-(Dave Powell, TSME's "Presenter"). James P. (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: My next big conflict

(...) Well. I of course have to tell you to come up to rtl12, because, well, among other things, we like having visitors. But. How about this: Try and build a block stacking robot between now and a week from the event. If you don't manage to do it, (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  My next big conflict

I was just thinking about loading up the car, throwing the kids in the trunk, grabbing my LEGOs and making the 10 hour trip to Toronto for rtl12. But then I was thinking about the date. Why does that sound familiar? Oh, I remember. There's a sumo (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  rtl13 Pipe Races

Hey folks, Just an idea for rtl13: Pipe Races. Build a robot that can ride along a plastic pipe-at any angle. Calum (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: talking RCX....

(...) No. Chris has vehemently discarded RCX limitations for all future rtlToronto events. If Lego made a high density cluster of RCXes, you could use all of them in rtl12. Calum (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Arena...

(...) wont this just make a big trampoline? unless you mean something else and will make 16 small trampolines... in either case, I think we need a solid surface. -- Chris (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: talking RCX....

(...) if you are referring to the old (outdated) rule of modifying one score based on home many RCXen a person has, then the answer is we no longer have that rule. If Calum and I can at all help it, then we will never again limit the number of RCXen (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: My "Legends" building spree

(...) I've never really liked the My Own Train cars. They're far too American for my tastes (even if the Metroliner seems to have an Amtrak livery, it still has a very European style to it), the sets themselves have a lot of repetitive elements (14 (...)
