Just to show off my ignorance, i wonder if it is as simple as opening up the "box" and parallel 1 or 2 ir LEDs, off the main LED. YES i know that, that would be more current draw, and maybe the Tower circuit was not designed for that, BUT being a (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) It'd be difficult - because the tower "powers down" after inactivity, the computer needs to "ask" it whether it's alive before sending data. And if it's not, no data will be sent. Here's a dumb question. Does anyone know if I attach two IR towers with a Y splitter on the serial port that both towers will transmit?
